study study study

As of Thursday, I now only have 3 classes left! Physics, AP Gov., and AP Lang. It's crazy how fast the school year went by. It feels like just yesterday I was starting up all my classes. I only have two more Physics classes and then that class will be over as well. Today was spent doing productive things like studying, cleaning, reading, swimming, etc. The pictures above show a little bit of the studying I did for each of my classes. I also read a chapter in this and this and still want to read some in this. Because of homework I haven't gotten to read much else besides textbooks but now that school is winding down I have a little bit more time for other things. Even the weather is starting to feel like summer. Today it was in the 80s and with the humidity felt like 90s. After swimming for two hours our coach made us run. In this heat and humidity by the time we ran through Skybrook up and down hills, we were all drenched. Tonight I'm planning on eating some stir-fry and egg rolls and finishing up some homework. Here is a catchy song that has been stuck in my head for a while. I hope your Monday has been as nice and productive as mine!

Romans 8:18-30

My first post on this new blog of mine should be about the inspiration for my blog name. As I was sitting in church today the perfect blog name hit me. No, this is not what I think about during church normally. Just lately I have been wanting to start a blog with pictures and little snippets about life. I couldn't think of a good blog name though. After my sisters suggested various ridiculous sounding blog names I was about to go with one of them until in church I thought of "all things for good". All things for good is God's plan for us. In Romans 8 verses 18 through 30 we read about God's plan for our lives and what part we play in it. Two assurances about the future glory of believers Pastor Jerry talked about are: 1) Glory is the climax in god's plan both for His people and His creation (verses 18-25) and 2) God provides what we need in order to wait patiently for this glory (26-30). God's plan for us is glorious! And as we wait for this glory God provides for us the intercession of the Holy Spirit (verses 26-27) and the providence of God (verses 28-30). The overall point Pastor Jerry made was that "God has not promised freedom from pain in this world, but he has promised to support his children with everything we need as we walk the path to glory". I just thought the message was really good today and I couldn't wait to share.
